Welcome to Ooh La Lit. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and services. By using Ooh La Lit or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ooh La Lit.

Ooh La Lit is for users who are 18 or older. Our platform features romance books with mature and explicit content and descriptions. By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use Ooh La Lit.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Please provide accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. When using Ooh La Lit, you may not:

• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Post hate speech or discriminatory content
• Submit fake reviews, ratings, or tag votes
• Post spam or unsolicited promotional content
• Post illegal content or content you do not have the right to share
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Post another person's private information without their consent
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the book catalog or any part of the service
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions
• Take any action intended to disrupt or overload the service
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

You own the content you create on Ooh La Lit. This includes reviews, ratings, private notes, and anything else you post.

By posting content, you grant Ooh La Lit a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the service.

You are responsible for what you post. By posting, you confirm that you have the right to share that content.

Some of your content is public. Your reviews, ratings, display name, and follows are visible to other users. Other content is private. Your notes, import files, and email address are not visible to others. This is consistent with our Privacy Policy.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful. We may do this without prior notice.

Tag votes and similar contributions become part of the shared community catalog. They help improve book data for everyone on the platform.

These aggregated contributions may be retained and anonymized even after your account is deleted. This preserves catalog accuracy for the community. Individual users do not own the aggregated catalog data. This approach is consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Book metadata, covers, and descriptions come from third-party sources. This information may be incomplete or inaccurate. We do not guarantee its accuracy.

Tags, genre labels, and spice ratings are crowd-sourced community opinions. They are not authoritative facts or guarantees about a book's content.

Because tags and spice levels are set by community votes, a book's actual content may differ from its listed tags. Please use your own judgment. This is especially important for mature or sensitive content. We do not warrant that any book matches its tags, ratings, or descriptions.

Similarity scores and recommendations are tools to help you discover books. They are not professional advice of any kind.

Ooh La Lit is free to use. We do not sell books directly. We link to third-party retailers, including Amazon and Bookshop.org.

Any purchase you make is a transaction between you and that retailer. It is subject to the retailer's own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for those transactions, prices, or fulfillment.

We participate in affiliate programs. When you buy a book through a link on our site, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. For more detail, see the affiliate disclosure in our Privacy Policy.

The Ooh La Lit name, brand, design, layout, code, and original features are owned by us. They are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, scrape, reuse, or redistribute them without our permission.

Book covers, titles, descriptions, and other metadata belong to their respective owners and publishers. We use them to provide the service and do not claim ownership over them.

Ooh La Lit is new and actively developed. We are currently in early access. We provide the service on an "as available" basis.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time. We may have downtime for maintenance or other reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or take actions that harm the service or other users.

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at admin@oohlalit.com. When your account is deleted, your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Some aggregated, anonymized contributions to the community catalog may remain to preserve catalog accuracy.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This applies to recommendations, tags, spice ratings, book data, and all other features.

We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, continuously available, or fully secure. We make reasonable efforts, but we cannot guarantee any of these things.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ooh La Lit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Because the service is free, our total liability to you is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. You use Ooh La Lit at your own risk.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
