Reading isn’t one-size-fits-all.

What you want from a book is specific: the tropes, the spice, the dynamics. Your recommendations should be too.

Why we built this

Ooh La Lit started at home. I wanted a place where I could find reliable romance recommendations based on what actually matters to romance readers: tropes, relationship dynamics, spice level, etc. I was tired of getting the same books pushed because they were trending, newly released, or had one tiny overlap with a favorite read. I searched everywhere and couldn’t find anywhere that did it well.

So my husband learned how to build a website and we built it together. We shaped it into exactly what I was looking for: a place where you can find your exact trope combo, keep spice where you want it, and skip the stuff that ruins it for you, all while being easily digestible. So that we can spend less time searching and more time finding the right story.
